Key Information

Gorse Hill Primary school is committed to developing strong links between our school and the local and wider community. Our aim is to ensure that the school is at the heart of the community and that the school and community work together in partnership for the benefit of all.

Parents, guardians, relatives and friends are always welcome to assemblies, concerts and special events and then encouraged to stay for a chat over some refreshments. The children also enjoy visiting elderly homes every Christmas to sing a selection of carols.
As a school we understand the educational benefits that the wider community can offer us and always welcome visitors into the school as well as organising a wide range of educational trips.

We are grateful for the support of parents and friends of Gorse Hill who give so much of their time in supporting our children with their education and helping to raise funds for school projects through the Friends of Gorse Hill (FOGH).

In the past Gorse Hill has welcomed authors, poets and artists into the school and our children have enjoyed completing various projects including the excellent murals at Stretford Mall.
